A fluid Dutch Bloom on a 14x14 inch square canvas
features a vibrant, dynamic design created by pouring acrylic paints mixed with a pouring medium. We use higher end paints for maximum vibrancy. You will learn mixing and correct consistency for the very best outcome.
The canvas is covered in a base layer of white paint called a "pillow", which serves as a neutral backdrop for the colors to flow. Swirls of bright hues—perhaps blues, purples, and pinks, or warm oranges, yellows, and reds—are poured in a specific way on the canvas. The paint is then manipulated with a hairdryer creating a "bloom" pattern , then spun on a Lazy Susan where the colors blend, stretch, and spread in organic, wispy patterns. This is a truly beautiful piece of artwork that you will cherish forever. You will leave your piece in the Coral Reefer to "set up" over night so you can transport safely.
Total cost of class is $59. A $10 deposit reserves your seat and you will pay remainder at class, minus the deposit.
Your piece will need to dry for 2 weeks, then you are free to purchase a sealer to spray on top or resin if you wish.
